12 months from the date of purchase for the IH Receiver only. However, you can always consult your nearest retailer if you have any problems with your IH Transmitter, or e-mail us direct and we will be very happy to assist you.
- How many light fixtures may I attach to each receiver unit ?
500 watts for the ON/OFF channel and 350 watts for the dimmer channel
- Are Infra-Red rays harmful ?
No, they are not.
- What is the working range of the remote unit ?
This is dependent on the way the receiver is installed. If you want the longest possible range, you should install the receiver at the highest point of the wall. On the average, the reception distance is at least 20 - 30 feet.
- Can I install the receiver myself ?
Yes, you can but for reasons of safety, installation by qualified personnel is advisable.
- Can I use this product throughout the world ? Is it country specific ?
There are 2 models namely 220VAC and 110VAC. Choose the appropriate model which is relevant to the country in which you are residing.
- Can I copy the signals from other remote controls, other than home appliances ?
Yes, as long as it is an Infra-Red remote control.
- If my original remote control is spoilt, can I use the IH Transmitter to replace it without going through the learning process ?
No. The IH Transmitter is a unifying learning remote control.You will have to go through the learning process before you can use the IH Transmitter (with the exception for the lighting control).
- If my transmitter gets damaged, can I purchase another unit to use with my existing receiver or vice versa ?
Yes, you may.
- Without installing the IH Receiver, can I use the light control section to control other things ?
No. Light control section is a pre-coded system, especially designed for use with lighting and ventilator systems only.
- Does the IH Receiver have voltage regulator / surge protection ?
Yes, it does.
- How do I check the timer settings ?
At the bottom of IH Receiver unit you will find 2 LED indicators which are red and yellow in colour. If the red LED indicator is lit this means that the sleep timer is in operation. If the yellow LED indicator is lit this would mean that the unit is set to the 24-hour timer setting whenever there is no power supplied to the unit.
- What should I do when the lights turn on & off by itself and I get a long beeping sound when I attempt to turn it off ?
You have accidentally set the interval timer on that channel of lights. To correct this situation, press the "SAT / Cancel" button on the IH Transmitter until the LED at the lower right corner lights up. Next, press whichever channel number the light(s) is/are set on.
- What should I do if the receiver unit fails to work ?
Hit the 'Bypass' switch on the receiver unit so that you regain direct control at the main switch, then call your retailer for assistance..
- Do I have to re-copy all the signals when changing of batteries of IH Transmitter is performed ?
No. You don't have to.
